I watched this documentary tonight
oh.my.goodness.
so thought provoking
and heart stopping
when thinking of my girls
and where they came from
where they will go in their lives
the depth of their feelings
and my love for them
makes me understand just a little more
their deep need for me during this time in their lives
breaks my heart to think of the many times I am frustrated by the immense need they have
I am humbled that God has trusted me to raise them
knowing how inadequate I am
I encourage each of you who knows an adopted child somewhere
to watch this documentary
I feel the need of a good ole cry now……..
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Makes me smile:)
Hugs friend… Did you go through a box of kleenex… Makes me tear up thinking about it!!!
Love ya,
Di
We have tickets to see it at the end of the month! It will be here in Lexington…I believe it's the 28th! I can't wait to see it…but I feel it will be heartbreaking, intriguing, etc……sigh. We've only had a couple of "conversations" with one of our girls and it was heart wrenching. I just want to hug them and never let go.
It's incredible, isn't it? I saw it during the summer and, like you, passed it on. I have a friend whose children are now in their early teens. It really struck a chord. I'm thinking I might have to order the DVD.
