Welp, here’s to nothing ha! All my intentions are good to document our loud, little life but I keep finding excuses. I will be ashamed of myself in years to come to the lack of documetation of John David’s graduation and moving into his dorm room at UT.
Those two milestones alone are huge….
Thankfully John David did have a graduation ceremony. I’d love to say it was amazing but it kinda fell flat…as lots of things have during Covid. BUT, we did celebrate HIM and that was lovely.

I made JD take a pic with me, oh how I love this kid! Notice his socks!…They are pink with a pictures of his friend Mac on them haha!

We were spaced out well to say the least. See those bleachers back there? Julianne, Carly and Madeline had to sit back there since we were only allowed 3 people per family #covid

Julianne sent this picture to us…they found shade haha!

John David is the first person in the front on the left. I was about to type “the one wearing the black mask” but they all were 😂 !

Picking up his diploma

This is the pic that makes me sad, they even had to pose with masks on…with no one near…It is what it is. However, I truly believe these kids will be better for it. They are bonded for life over such a weird time.

The lone cap throw…it actually makes me laugh now…but it was very surreal at the moment. All the kids were spaced far apart, with their backs to us, and then told they could throw their hats…

We finally got brave enough to take our masks off for a picture, now you can tell we are happy for our boy 🙂

Our family celebration with a huge chocolate chip cookie cake after steak and french fries.

It is not a normal family celebration without some Janie antics!

Sweet guy just accepts it haha!

…as does Kendyl 😂

Halle was here for it!

The boys got to do a real toss the next evening!

Our school did the best they could with a bad situation. I am very thankful for them, John David’s friends and all the families that were represented. Such a special class of 2020!!
