Many of us know this verse in Esther 4:14
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. An who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.”
Dr. Tony Evans says,
“When we look at the life of Esther throughout the book titled in her name, this phrase actually refers to Esther being scoled for her self-indulgent, self-preserving mindset. In today’s language, we might call that being being ‘shot down’ for having narcissistic tendencies! Mordecai reproved Esther for living large and embracing royalty over rightousness – selfies over service. Through those telling words, he reminded her she had been chosen to set her own interests aside, let go of her own ambitions, and face an ememy full-on.
She was to risk her life and her legacy with no guarantees of a positive outcome. That’s the ‘for such time as this‘ Mordecai challenged Esther to accept.
And that’s the ‘for such a time as this‘ God also sets before you and me.”
These words speak TRUTH to me. Currently, I believe we are in a for such time as this.
I feel up one minute and down the next being cooped up like everyone else.
I can choose to let my circumstances and emotions dictate my day or choose to ask the Lord to help me through them. Each and every time I walk down my hallway praying for patience in guiding my kids through online schooling, mid-sigh I take a deep breath instead.
The Lord is teaching me each day through this season to draw closer and know that He has a plan much larger than I can imagine. Right?! Who could have imagined us all quarantined a few months ago?! God knew this always.
Soooooo……all that to say it looks like I am back to my best way of processing life, writing down my thoughts again. I started this old blog while the days were ohhhh sooooo looooong praying and waiting for Li Qing Zhong aka Sarah Jane.
What life looks like now….what is on my phone the last few days 🙂 I didn’t take any pictures while I was having a moment haha!

Oh yes they did, that pool is cold. Desperate times…desperate measures!

The girls found where the chickens have been hiding their eggs. Our chickens are so weird, they lay eggs in the strangest places. These were found underneath the coop 🧐

Julianne and I have been face timing as much as possible because HALLE! I miss this little angel!

She is getting so big and chubby 😇

Last one because I can’t take it…chubby legs and boobies 😂.
She is perfection, just sayin.

More time outside… we take advantage of each and every sunny day we can. Actually we walked in drizzle yesterday, again desperate times and all that.
(I noticed that Madeline is wearing her helmet backwards when editing this post 😹)

THIS on my walk the other day. I love this so much.
