Wow. We left the hotel at 9 a.m. and returned at 6 p.m. First stop was Tian An Men Square, Forbidden City and the garden that I can’t think of the name of now! Kids were awesome ALL DAY LONG!
First off is John David’s Chinese food selection that he promised Julianne he would try at every meal….one bite:)
At the entrance of TianAnMen Square
Mrs. Schaefer this one is for you! Madeline picked ONE of her animals to go with her today and showed him everything, even fed him at lunch!
just cause….
Oh yeah, we went to the Jade Factory as well…..I really think this is the same man I have a picture of when we came in 2007!
Pictures just can’t give the steepness justice….
Five minutes after we got into the van! Wow is all I can say about this little girl today, she was not about to let her brother go farther up that wall than her:) Yes, she made it all the way!
We fly out at 7 a.m. in the morning for our last day without Janie. It is so very surreal!!
I am more thankful every day for this trip and for the reason we are here!!
First of all I impressed you had the energy to post.. I am sitting here with tears seeing Madeline on the wall… So precious.. It brings backs the most beautiful memories of my time there.. The day before we flew out to get Ruby Mei.. The anticipation, excitement, and wonder of it all…. And, now for Madeline to be back and such a brave and big girl.. (And competitive too.. I love that!) I am so glad you got a sunny day! Well I hope everyone sleeps great as I know you have an early date with a jet plane! I hope the sun is shining in Changsha too! If so, go to Martyr Park!!!
Love,
Diana
I'm so impressed that Madeline made it all the way up! Wow! We were huffing and puffing at the top. Yay for her…and y'all! 🙂 This all brings back lots of good memories! Countdown to Janie!! 🙂
Amazing! Love viewing your pics– just awesome! Big day is a coming! Hugs my dear friend!
Yay! Looks like such an amazing day!!!! What fun that the kids enjoyed it all too!! What a trooper Madeline is…I can't believe her little legs got her all the way! You are right…the pictures just can't do it justice!!!
When I saw the jade picture, I thought "I think that's the same guy that was in that glass room when we were there a couple of years ago"! lol…
Can't wait to see you in Changsha…one step closer to Janie!!! Whoo Hoo!!!!!
just found your blog! So excited for you….looking at your pics brought back the memories of just a couple months ago when we were in that exact spot!!:) CONGRATULATIONS!
We'll be there in June to see all the same sights in Beijing. Wonder if we will see the jade man? Be safe! Love, Auntie Gay
Finally made it to blogs today and love your post! Didn't you just LOVE the Great Wall? Took our breath away when we were there. Can't wait to see sweet Janie in your arms!!! Yay!!! XOXO
Thinking of you all as you travel and enjoying all of the wonderful pictures and posts. We are so excited about Janie. Ed and Yvette Bynum
It looks as though you had an awesome day! I can't believe how blue the sky is-that is rare in Beijing. Glad the kids had fun-wonderful memories. Looking forward to Janie joining your family.
Glory be to God my friend! I love the pics. John David is the sweetest child. His sweetness jumps right out of the pics. Madeline looks so tall going up the stairs and I love the pic of her laughing. I love this time that you all are having. Love you all and I can't wait to meet Janey!
