We celebrated Janie’s TENTH birthday yesterday! This sweet girl is all about her birthday, talking about it for months before and declaring as she went to bed last night, “I can’t believe my birthday is over and I even have to wait an entire YEAR for it to come again” ha…to be a kid again!:)
Without futher ado here are a thousand pictures of her celebration…

My youngest posing after her school play last week…more on that later

A birthday breakfast of homemade pancakes! It is obviously her birthday since she is watching her ipad at breakfast, a treat only on birthdays!

Carly came home for the big birthday dinner and spoiled me rotten by helping Janie with her homework. Carly is such a jewel (more on that later as well). This pic cracks me up because it is our normal…dogs under legs, Madeline in her pj’s in the afternoon…

How old does Janie look???

Janie’s reaction to John David bringing out her present…

She started asking for an electric scooter last week and my response was “but you don’t get exercise using it, why would you want that?” (obviously the type A personality coming out:). She says “because it’s FUN”. I had to laugh and understood immediately…she is always making me laugh! Goldbug cracks me up just laying there watching her ride her scooter through the house like that’s part of a normal day!

Off she goes

Token pose:)

Because it is normal to run in your pajamas down the street with your sister haha!

Just because….I bet the neighbors talk about us haha!

Ready for cake eating!

And this pic makes my Mama heart happy! Our family is not good at surprises apparently. Hank tried to surprise me by flying Gardner and Kendyl home for Mother’s Day…he broke down and told me a few hours after he made the reservations because he knew it would make me so happy. I text Gardner to tell him how excited I am, his response; “shortest secret ever!” 🙂 Gardner was going to surprise Janie for her birthday…texting me not to tell her…meanwhile Janie sees the text of her ipad that afternoon and immediately calls Gardner haha!

Janie LOVES to be the center of attention:). And no, I did not make this amazing cake. My sweet friend Shawn made one for me on my birthday, the best peanut butter and chocolate cake ever! Janie was obsessed with it. Shawn’s son Brady is in Janie’s class and she told him that his Mom’s cake is “dreamy”. Janie never disappoints haha! Brady’s response was that his mom would make her one for her birthday and she came through for her boy. I hope they get married!

hahahaha!

The end to the best birthday celebration for our girl!
I can’t end this post without saying how thankful we are to Janie’s birth parents. They chose life for a very sick baby. That decision could only come from the deepest love for this precious girl. Janie Jane you are dearly loved!
